1. Time series analysis for spring barley phenology monitoring using Sentinel 2 – A case study of Southern-central Sweden
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskapSammanfattning : Monitoring crop phenology at parcel scale aligns with the concept of precision agriculture (PA) and can provide invaluable information to agronomic management systems. Satellite time series data are commonly deployed for detecting crop growth stages, while the recent advancements in remote sensing (RS) technologies such as the launch of Sentinel 2 (S2) are providing unprecedented opportunities for crop monitoring. 2. Vegetation phenology derived using the plant phenology index and the normalized difference vegetation index for the Balkan peninsula, south-eastern Europe
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskapSammanfattning : This study analyses the performance of the satellite derived Plant Phenology Index (PPI) against the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) for estimating start of season (SOS) and end of season (EOS) of vegetation growth in part of the Balkan Peninsula, Southeastern Europe (2000 – 2016). Results revealed that PPI and NDVI differ considerably; SOS and EOS may diverge by more than one month between the two indices. LÄS MER
3. Höstfenologi i norra Sveriges fjällkedja : Sker invintring av växter samtidigt oberoende av varierande topografi och vegetation?
Kandidat-uppsats,Sammanfattning : Although the autumn phenology of plants is important for a wide range of processes including primary production, carbon sequestration and food availability for herbivores, few studies have addressed spatial variation of autumn phenology and how it changes with climate change. The greatest increase of temperature is predicted near the pole and therefor it is important to estimate how this change will affect Arctic ecosystems. LÄS MER

5. Comparison of multi-temporal and multispectral Sentinel-2 and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle imagery for crop type mapping
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskapSammanfattning : Precision Agriculture aims to maximize crop production and the efficiency of land use to meet the increased demand for food while minimizing environmental impact and economic cost of food production. Crop type maps are needed for Precision Agriculture applications and remote sensing techniques are an efficient way to produce this information. LÄS MER
