It tries to answer two questions: 1) how the perceptions have developed, and the perceived reasons driving this development, and 2) the differences between Republican and Democratic senators.     Sammanfattning : As a consequence of the Green New Deal and its refraining from carbon pricing policies, this study aims to examine further why actors supporting the new policy framework are taking a distance from all previous carbon pricing methods such as taxations och cap and trade systems.     Sammanfattning : This study examined the metaphors used in contemporary American conservative discourse between October 2018 and March 2019, focusing on material published by conservative think tanks (CTTs) and tweets made by Republican senators in relation to climate change. For the CTTs, a domain-specific corpus (36,388 words) was compiled and a smaller corpus (3967 words) was assembled based on 135 tweets. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The future of the Polish Senate is the subject of a major debate, which has been going on since its reinstatement in 1989 as a result of the negotiations between the ruling communistic Labour Party and Solidarity. The aim of this thesis is to provide a reconstruction of the debate and of the arguments used, as well as to see if there are any links between the Polish debate and the general, international discussion on bicameralism.
