    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this paper is to research if there is a causal effect on labor market outcomes in Swedish municipalities, depending on if there is a left-wing or right-wing rule. By grouping Swedish political parties into two coalitions, left-wing and right-wing, a sharp regression discontinuity design can be applied, where a seat majority in the municipal council shifts discontinuously at 50% of the voter share.
