Based on this, the study has two research questions: How have the students experienced that the #BlackoutTuesday campaign has affected their awareness of Black lives matter, and, for what reasons did the students feel that they participated in #BlackoutTuesday? With a theoretical perspective that encapsulates theories regarding the ever-present role of media in everyday life, the role that assembly and affect plays when protesting we designed a study that consisted of qualitative interviews and an ethnographical observation of the climate protests that Fridays For Future organised.
