1. Additives in a steam engine to decrease friction : Friction testing of solid lubricants in powder form
Master-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för ingenjörsvetenskap och fysik (from 2013)Sammanfattning : This thesis aims to investigate the coefficient of friction between steel on steel contacts with the addition of solid lubricants such as h-BN, WS2, MoS2 in powder form, in dry conditions and wet conditions. More specifically, the purpose is to enhance the sliding between the piston rings and cylinder block in a modern high temperature steam engine developed by RANOTOR. LÄS MER
2. On the friction and failure mechanisms of bearing and gear surfaces lubricated by a novel nanoadditive in highly stressed operating conditions
Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskap och matematikSammanfattning : Obtaining an enhanced lifespan for mechanical transmissions has become a challenge in diverse application sectors. Micropitting as a contact fatigue mechanism has seriously jeopardized the well-being of rolling-sliding elements present for instance in gearboxes. LÄS MER
3. Controlling a sliding contact on an electric vehicle with computer vision and AI
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för reglerteknikSammanfattning : Emission from road vehicles is a massive problem and contributes to climate change on our planet. One solution that people are turning to is electrical propulsion instead of fossil fuel. There are, however, problems with putting big batteries on road vehicles. LÄS MER
4. Investigation of micropitting and wear in rolling/sliding contacts operating under boundary lubrication conditions
Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskap och matematikSammanfattning : .... LÄS MER
5. SUSTAINABLE LUBRICATION FOR FUTURE TRANSMISSIONS : Micropitting performance of Glycerol-based lubricants
Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskap och matematikSammanfattning : Achieving sustainable lubrication by using environmentally friendly formulated lubricants has became an essential component of the transition process from fossil-powered vehicles to electrified transportation. Mixtures, or aqueous solutions of molecules such as polyhydroxy alcohols, and glycols usually known as green lubricants make it possible to achieve low friction coefficients under different lubrication conditions, which constitutes a potential alternative to improve the tribological performance of moving parts in automotive systems, at the same time that the environmental requirements are satisfied.
