    Sammanfattning : This study has examined how young people in out-of-home care, specifically special youth homes in Sweden (SiS), describe their life situation and their ability to make their voices heard during care.     Sammanfattning : The Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention has in its safety survey from 2023 determined that 53% of Sweden's population are concerned about the criminal activity occurring in the society.     Sammanfattning : After the ratification of the UN Convention, Sweden has undertaken to adapt national laws so that they conform to the Convention of the Rights of the Child, CRC. Despite the ratification, the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU) allows young persons to be separated up to 24 hours by the staff at state institutions, even though it is contrary to the CRS’s 37th article.
