1. Error propagation in nuclear models
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Matematisk fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : In this thesis we perform error analysis of a nuclear model based on density-functional theory developed in Lund. The Lund model allows us to perform calculations of nuclear spectra more efficiently by constructing a simple effective Hamiltonian reproducing the quadrupole deformation and pairing interaction strength parameters of a spherical Hartree-Fock reference functional. 2. Computational Study of the Magnetocrystalline Anisotropy Energy of Ordered CoPt
L1-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/MaterialteoriSammanfattning : The study of the properties of magnetic materials is of primary importance in the development of newtechnologies. In this project, we aim to investigate the symmetries of some of the relevant properties ofa cobalt and platinum alloy that emerge from the symmetry of the crystal structure of the alloy. LÄS MER
3. Adaption of Inertial Confinement Fusion Resultsto Spherical Plasma Expansion at Comets
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för fysik och astronomi; Uppsala universitet/Institutet för rymdfysik, UppsalaavdelningenSammanfattning : Recent missions to solar system comets, such as ESA's Rosetta mission, raise interest for models and descriptions of their plasma environment. The interaction with various space phenomena such as stellar wind make the construction of an analytical description difficult. LÄS MER
4. Kinetic simulation of spherically symmetric collisionless plasma in the inner part of a cometary coma

5. Approximating general relativistic effects in Newtonian hydrodynamic supernova simulations
Kandidat-uppsats, Stockholms universitet/Institutionen för astronomiSammanfattning : In this research, the validity of using an effective potential to approximate general relativistic effects in an otherwise Newtonian setting was investigated, by making simulations of core collapse supernovae on one hand in full general relativity, and on the other hand in said Newtonian setting. This was done for a mass range covering progenitors of 12 − 60 solar masses; a much wider mass range than has been used in earlier research, that also includes progenitors that form black holes.
