  1. 21. Tracing Systematic Factors of Lead Time Deviations : A Case Study of Large-Scale Custom-Driven Development Projects at Saab Surveillance

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Industriell teknik

    Författare :William Wallden; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Lead time; large-scale custom-driven development projects; planning; complexity; uncertainty; systematic factors;

    Sammanfattning : In a world driven by technological advancements and ever-changing consumer preferences, large-scale custom-driven development projects have emerged as the gateway to creating complex products and systems tailored to individual customer needs. Steering these projects to successful completion presents significant challenges, with lead time deviations being a key concern. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Of Chaos And Clockworks : A Formal Criticism Of The Modern Sustainability Paradigm

    Master-uppsats, Högskolan i Gävle/Miljövetenskap

    Författare :Sebastian Arnström; [2023]
    Nyckelord :sustainability; sustainability science; complexity; complex adaptive systems; Earth system; Earth system science; resilience theory; the adaptive cycle; chaos theory; eco-theology;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis is a critical review of two central theories in the modern sustainability paradigm – namely… (1) the theory that the Earth’s geosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere and atmosphere form a complex adaptive system – the Earth system, and (2) the theory that all human activities are intrinsically dependent on, and constrained by, non-anthropogenic states and processes in the Earth system. The thesis explains the origins and the logic of these theories, and subjects them to formal, semi-formal and comparative criticism. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Evaluation of a Predictive Maintenance Framework for Industrial Batch Processes : A Feasibility Study at Seco Tools AB

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för ekonomi, teknik, konst och samhälle

    Författare :Erik Olausson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Predictive maintenance; Batch processes; Component health;

    Sammanfattning : Predictive maintenance is a topic that has been researched and theorized for decades. With the advent of Industry 4.0 and greater technological capabilities in the form of advanced AI, the concept of predicting the need for maintenance in a system or its components is quickly becoming more of a reality for complex processes. 4. 24. Exploring the Correlation Between Reading Ability and Mathematical Ability : KTH Master thesis report

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, KTH/Lärande

    Författare :Richard Sol; Alexander Rasch; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Reading ability; Mathematical ability; Model optimization; Eye-tracking; Correlation between mathematics and reading; Machine-learning models; Reading Fluency; Reading comprehension; Formative assessment; Ordinal Regression; Spearman’s correlation coefficient; Grid search.; Läsförmåga; Matematisk förmåga; Modelloptimering; Ögonspårning; Korrelation mellan matematik och läsning; Maskininlärningsmodeller; Läsflyt; Läsförståelse; Formativ bedömning; Ordinal regression; Spearmans korrelationskoefficient; Rutnätssökning.;

    Sammanfattning : Reading and mathematics are two essential subjects for academic success and cognitive development. Several studies show a correlation between the reading ability and mathematical ability of pupils (Korpershoek et al., 2015; Ní Ríordáin & O’Donoghue, 2009; Reikerås, 2006; Walker et al., 2008). 5. 25. Variability Management in Robotic Systems: A Variability-Modelling Language That Implements Variation Points Based On Binding Time and Binding Mode

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för data- och informationsteknik

    Författare :JUDE GYIMAH; [2022-02-02]
    Nyckelord :Variability Management; Service Robots; Robotics Software Engineering; Domain-Specific Languages; Feature Reconfiguration;

    Sammanfattning : Technological advancements have led to a growing demand for efficient solutions that minimise risk and maximise efficiency when it comes to performing tasks in nondeterministic environments. In the wake of the current pandemic, humanity has been affected by labor shortages, logistic challenges, unexpected strain on supply systems and product shortages caused by safety regulations and health complications.
