  1. 1. Using NeRF- and Mesh-Based Methods to Improve Visualisation of Point Clouds

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Matematik LTH

    Författare :Vilma Ylvén; Oscar Montelin; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Technology and Engineering; Mathematics and Statistics;

    Sammanfattning : In recent years, the field of generating synthetic images from novel view points has seen some major improvements. Most importantly with the publication of Neural Radiance Fields allowing for extremely detailed and accurate 3D novel views. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Geologisk karaktärisering av den kambriska Faluddensandstenen i Östersjön och dess lämplighet för koldioxidlagring

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Författare :Kaisa Bengtsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Koldioxidlagring; djupt liggande akvifer; Faludden; St. Sutarve-2018; CO2-storage; deep saline aquifers; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : The Geological Survey of Sweden (SGU) has spent several years investigating the Swedish bedrock to find suitable bedrock for geological storage of carbon dioxide. Deep saline aquifers are considered to have the greatest potential, and the Cambrian Faludden Sandstone subcropping in the Baltic Sea east of Gotland, shows great potential as a storage aquifer. 3. 3. Two New Methods for Real-Time Per-Face Texture Mapping (Ptex)

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Datavetenskap

    Författare :Hugo Dettner Källander; Julius Häger; [2022]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Ptex (Per-Face Texture Mapping for Production Rendering) is a technology unveiled by Disney in 2008 that automatizes the process of applying textures to 3D models but is rarely used in real-time contexts, where this process is still largely manual and time consuming. This report aims to compare two new real-time methods, Reduced Traverse and Hybrid, to two existing ones, Discard and Traverse, which could give new insight into the feasibility of widespread real-time Ptex and consequent resource savings. 4. 4. Post-Wildfire Debris Flows: Mapping and Analysis of Risk Factors in Western North America

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Annejet Tuinstra; [2021]
    Nyckelord :wildfires; debris flows; water repellent soil; North America; skogsbränder; jordskred; vattenavvisande jordlager; Nordamerika;

    Sammanfattning : Climate change is leading to in an increase in frequency and severity of wildfires, which in turn can result in the formation of runoff-initiated post-wildfire debris flows. This type of debris flows is, like most debris flows, triggered by heavy precipitation events. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Simulated Laser Triangulation with Focus on Subsurface Scattering

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Medie- och Informationsteknik; Linköpings universitet/Tekniska fakulteten

    Författare :Hilma Kihl; Simon Källberg; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Laser triangulation; subsurface scattering; simulation; speckle pattern; Gaussian beam; Blender; spruce wood; blister package;

    Sammanfattning : Practical laser triangulation sessions were performed for each measurement object to obtain ground truth data. Three methods for laser line simulations were implemented: reshaping the built-in light sources of Blender, creating a texture projector and approximating a Gaussian beam as a light emitting volume.
