    Sammanfattning : When studying a child’s ability to form an attachment to a parent it has become clear that the caregiving style shown by the person giving it plays a crutial role. Four standard descriptions of such caregiving styles (secure, disorganized, anxious and avoidant) has made it possible to investigate whether the relationship between child and caregiver could be reflected by their attachment style and caregiving style, since the child’s proximity seeking behaviour to its caregiver varies depending on the caregiver’s ability to dispaly a safe haven for the child.
