    Sammanfattning : This study aims to provide an understanding of the reasoning and decision-making processes of Swedish newspapers in their work with push notifications. Hence the overarching research question is: how do Swedish newsrooms reason about the choice to spread certain news through push notifications? In order to answer this research question, seven semi-structured interviews with online editors, news editors and managing editors from three different newspapers (Svenska Dagbladet, Norrköpings Tidningar, Kristianstadsbladet/Norra Skåne) were conducted. This research focused on providing a new European frame of interpretation for the events in 1848, questioning the exclusive national historiographical traditions of European history, a field of study already formed by the works of Jean-Baptiste Duroselle in 1990.
