  1. 1. Projective Geometry in Kinematics

    Master-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för matematik och matematisk statistik

    Författare :Emil Eriksson; [2024]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, we study projective geometry and show a connection to kinematics. We show how the group of rigid body motions in three-dimensional space can be parameterized on a hyperbolic quadric in a seven-dimensional projective space. We also show that this quadric is a geometry with triality, and we discuss triality from a kinematic viewpoint. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Modeling wave behavior with linear wave theory

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för fysik

    Författare :Elsa Renström; [2024]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis aimed to look at the behaviours of the water beneath waves from a modeling and simulations point of view. We have investigated how to use Linear wave theory (LWT) to model the kinematic movements in water governed by free ocean waves. The model assumes the surface to consist of a superposition of sinusoidal waves. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Exploring climate literacy: Unveiling the motivation and skills of climate-literate higher education graduates

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för didaktik och pedagogisk profession

    Författare :Jitka Charbonnier; [2023-06-26]
    Nyckelord :Climate Change Education; Adult Education; Illeris’ Dimensional Learning; Graduate Skills; Climate Literacy; Adult Learning; Motivation for Learning about Climate;

    Sammanfattning : Aim: The purpose of this study was to investigate the perceptions, motivations, learning processes and use of graduate skills within the learning process about climate change by graduates. Theory: The study applied Illeris’ three-dimensional model of learning as a theoretical framework to explore the cognitive, emotional, and societal domains of adult learning, as well as the interconnection between them. 4. 4. Shape depiction using Local Light Alignment : Evaluating the shape enhancement capabilities of the Local Light Alignment technique at multiple scales

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Edvard Ahlsén; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Shape depiction; Non-photorealistic rendering; Shading; Multiple scales; Formskildring; ickerealistisk rendering; skuggning; skalrymdsmetoder;

    Sammanfattning : Local Light Alignment is a new shading based technique in the field of shape depiction, a field which concerns itself with techniques to represent and enhance the three-dimensional (3D) shape of objects in two-dimensional (2D) visual media. The main idea of Local Light Alignment is to locally adjust the incoming direction of light to create contrast in a way that enhances the perception of shape and surface detail. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Predictive Controllers for Load Transportation in Microgravity Environments

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Sujet Phodapol; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Model Predictive Control; Decentralized control; Multi-robot systems; Space technology; Modell-prediktiv reglering; Decentraliserad reglering; Multirobotsystem; Rymdteknologi;

    Sammanfattning : Space activities have been increasing dramatically in the past decades. As a result, the number of space debris has also increased significantly. Therefore, it is necessary to clean up and remove them to prevent a collision between space debris and spacecraft. LÄS MER
