6. Optimization-Based Geometry Correction Of Blood Flow CFD Simulations Using 4D-Flow Data
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för energivetenskaperSammanfattning : 4D-flow is a powerful tool capable of capturing 3-dimensional, time-resolved flow measurements of blood flow in the body. Their current use is limited by resolution and scan times. A proposed solution is to use Simulation Based Imaging (SBI). LÄS MER
7. Heterogeneous catalytic reactions studied with transient gas supply and event-averaged ambient pressure x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/NanoLund: Centre for NanoscienceSammanfattning : CO oxidation over Pd(100) is studied with ambient pressure x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (APXPS). Cyclic gas composition pulsing of the CO:O2 ratio, combined with a new method using software based event-averaging by image recognition over many pulses, is used to improve the signal-to-noise ratio substantially. 8. Time-resolved x-ray diffraction study of longitudinal optical phonons in zincblende semiconductors
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Atomfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : Anharmonic decay of longitudinal optical (LO) phonons in zincblende semiconductors is not at present well characterized due to the polar and many-body nature of the problem. Femtosecond THz radiation offers a novel route to this study, as the interaction of this radiation is directly with the phonon lattice and these THz excited phonons do not have enough energy to excite electrons over the band gap. 9. Influence of The Heavy Atom Effect on The Cage Escape Yields of Iron(III)-Photosensitizers with N-Heterocyclic Carbene Ligands
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Fysikalisk kemiSammanfattning : The recent emergence of earth-abundant iron(III)-photosensitizers with N-heterocyclic carbene ligands, exhibiting nanosecond ligand-to-metal charge-transfer states with suitable redox potentials to activate a broad range of substances, offers the possibility to convert sunlight into chemical substances, such as fuels or pharmaceuticals, in an environmentally friendly way. These complexes, however, often suffer from low yields of charge-separated products escaping the solvent cage, making such applications inherently inefficient. LÄS MER
10. Modelling of gene regulatory and spatial mechanisms which pattern the early human neural tube
Magister-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Beräkningsbiologi och biologisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisationSammanfattning : Tissue patterning during development is thought to be driven largely by gene regulatory responses to spatial gradients of molecular signals, known as morphogens. In this thesis, early patterning of the human neural tube is studied using two different gene regulatory network models. LÄS MER
