    Sammanfattning : Is it possible to increase traffic flows and decrease stand stills in rush hour traffic by tweaking existing traffic light signals? A vehicle’s engine running on idle is not useful in physical terms and emits unnecessary exhausts. By investigating and observing signal phase times on site in Hangzhou, China, an effort was made to find out if it was possible to get better flow and thus lower emissions by changing the traffic signal programs. 2. 2. Elevator Supervisory Group Control systems : Analyzing the performance of elevator assignment algorithms in varying environments

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för datavetenskap och kommunikation (CSC)

    Författare :Christoffer Blades; Filiz Boyraz; [2015]
    Nyckelord :Elevator assignment; ESGC; Algorithms;

    Sammanfattning : Elevators are used every day and that puts expectations on how fast an elevator can handle passenger requests. This report aims to describe different elevator assignment algorithms for Elevator Supervisory Group Control (ESGC) systems and compare them to each other, with an emphasis on the delay time. LÄS MER
