  1. 21. Utilizing Transformers with Domain-Specific Pretraining and Active Learning to Enable Mining of Product Labels

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Avdelningen för beräkningsvetenskap

    Författare :Erik Norén; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Machine Learning; Natural Language Processing; NLP; BERT; Active Learning; AL; Pharmacovigilance; UMC; Uppsala Monitoring Centre; Structured Product Label; SPL; Transformers; Domain-Specific Pretraining; NER; Named Entity Recognition; Adverse Drug Reaction; ADR;

    Sammanfattning : Structured Product Labels (SPLs), the package inserts that accompany drugs governed by the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA), hold information about Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) that exists associated with drugs post-market. This information is valuable for actors working in the field of pharmacovigilance aiming to improve the safety of drugs. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Domain Knowledge and Representation Learning for Centroid Initialization in Text Clustering with k-Means : An exploratory study

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :David Yu; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Natural language processing; Sentiment analysis; Clustering; Language model; Transformer; Heuristic; Språkteknologi; Sentimentanalys; Klustering; Språkmodell; Transformer; Heuristik;

    Sammanfattning : Text clustering is a problem where texts are partitioned into homogeneous clusters, such as partitioning them based on their sentiment value. Two techniques to address the problem are representation learning, in particular language representation models, and clustering algorithms. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Detection of insurance fraud using NLP and ML

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Matematisk statistik

    Författare :Rasmus Bäcklund; Hampus Öhman; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Machine-Learning can sometimes see things we as humans can not. In this thesis we evaluated three different Natural Language Procces-techniques: BERT, word2vec and linguistic analysis (UDPipe), on their performance in detecting insurance fraud based on transcribed audio from phone calls (referred to as audio data) and written text (referred to as text-form data), related to insurance claims.     Nyckelord :ChatGPT; OpenAI API; WordPress; artificial intelligence; web development; user interface; chat service; agile project management; prompt engineering;

    Sammanfattning : This graduation report explores the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, specifically OpenAI's Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) technology, into web development processes using WordPress (WP) for developing a AI-driven chat service. The focus of the project is on ImagineX AB, a private company that offers the educational service ChatGPT Utbildning aimed at teaching professionals to effectively utilize ChatGPT. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Estimating eco-friendly driving behavior in various traffic situations, using machine learning

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för datavetenskap

    Författare :Ludvig Fors; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Machine learning; transformers; neural networks; casual inference; K-Means; driver behavior; fuel consumption;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates how various driver signals, signals that a truck driver can interact with, influences fuel consumption and what are the optimal values of these signals in various traffic conditions. More specifically, the objective is to estimate good driver behavior in various traffic conditions and compare bad driver behavior in similar situations to see how performing a specific driver action, changing a driver signal from the bad driver value to the corresponding good driver value impacts the fuel consumption.
