1. MODELLING OF HEAT TRANSFER OF RAILWAY SWITCH HEATING
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)Sammanfattning : Switches and crossings are vital components of the railway network. Obstacles to the smooth functioning of these components could result in delays and network traffic. Given the geographical location of Sweden, snow is one of the major obstacles for the switches. 2. Positional differences in peak intensity periods in Swedish elite football
Master-uppsats, Gymnastik- och idrottshögskolan, GIH/Institutionen för fysisk aktivitet och hälsaSammanfattning : Introduction: Football players cover around 8-13 kilometres of running in different speeds in a match. However, the reporting of the sum or average of total distance covered fail to give an accurate picture of the most physically intense and demanding periods in matches, called “peak periods”. LÄS MER
3. Transient Stress and Strain Assessment of Marine Boiler : Fully Rigid Body Dynamics Coupled Finite Element Analyses
Magister-uppsats, Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för maskinteknik (MT)Sammanfattning : Operationally, marine components and structures such as boiler in a Ship, are exposed to varying mechanically and thermally induced forces. High-frequency mechanical loading arises from the cyclic pressure, temperature transients, and six directional Rapid Amplitude Operator (RAOs). LÄS MER
4. Transient and Spectral Fatigue Analysis for Random Base Excitation
H-uppsats,Sammanfattning : This thesis work gives an insight on how to estimate the fatigue damage using transient and spectral fatigue analysis for both uniaxial and multiaxial stress states in case of random vibration base excitation. The transient method involves a rainflow count algorithm that counts the number of cycles causing the fatigue damage, while the spectral method is based on probabilistic assumptions from which an expected value of fatigue damage can be estimated. 5. Estimation of fatigue life by using a cyclic plasticity model and multiaxial notch correction
Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Mekanik och hållfasthetsläraSammanfattning : Mechanical components often possess notches. These notches give rise to stress concentrations, which in turn increases the likelihood that the material will undergo yielding. The finite element method (FEM) can be used to calculate transient stress and strain to be used in fatigue analyses. LÄS MER
