  1. 1. Thermal Conversion of Cellulose-Lignin Precursors into Carbon Fibres

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Nanoteknologi och funktionella material

    Författare :Sofia Westberg; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Carbon fiber; lignin; cellulose; continuous conversion;

    Sammanfattning : Carbon fibres are used in many applications thanks to their exceptional tensile properties in relation to their relatively low weight. These thin strands of at least 90% carbon are mixed with a matrix such as epoxy to form composites used for cars, wind turbines, prosthetics, and many other things. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Stock market analysis with a Markovian approach: Properties and prediction of OMXS30

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Matematisk statistik

    Författare :Max Aronsson; Anna Folkesson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Markov chain; OMXS30; Markov chain properties; voting ensemble model; markovkedja; OMXS30; egenskaper hos markovkedjor; ensemble-modell;

    Sammanfattning : This paper investigates how Markov chain modelling can be applied to the Swedish stock index OMXS30. The investigation is two-fold. Firstly, a Markov chain is based on index data from recent years, where properties such as transition matrix, stationary distribution and hitting time are studied. LÄS MER

  3. 3. A Statistical Approach to Understand the Evolution of Exotic Butterfly Species

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Matematisk statistik

    Författare :Elin Eliasson; Rebecka Haraldsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Phylogenetics; Tree reconstruction; COI barcoding; General Time Reversible Model; K80 Model; Evolution; Butterflies; Fylogenetik; Rekonstruktion av träd; COI barcoding; General Time Reversible modell; K80 modell; Evolution; Fjärilar;

    Sammanfattning : The alarming rate at which we see the decline in biodiversity due to human activity has raised concerns about the well-being of our planet. Butterflies which serve as pollinators are an essential part of many ecosystems and sensitive indicators of environmental changes and can provide valuable insight into how ecosystems function and evolve. 4. 4. Simulation and Testing of a MU-MIMO Beamforming System

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik

    Författare :Nazyar Mehdishishavan; Zonghan Wang; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Multi-User Multiple-Input Multiple-Output MU-MIMO ; Beamforming; Sounding Reference Signal SRS ; Reciprocity-based; Butler matrix; Advanced Antenna System AAS ; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Multi-User Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MU-MIMO) technology has become increasingly important in the field of wireless communication due to its ability to highly increase the capacity and efficiency of wireless networks [1]. Beamforming, as a technique used in MU-MIMO systems, improves network performance by improving signal quality and reducing interference. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Enabling a sustainable transition of a waterborne transport system : By identifying essential aspects and actors

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Julia Apelgren; Sara Kronvall; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Sustainable transition; Waterborne transport system; Transport system; Public transport system; Fossil free fuels; System theory; Passenger ferry; Commuter ferry; Electric ferry; Hållbar omställning; Vattenburet transport system; Transport system; Kollektivtrafik; Fossila bränslen; Systemteori; Passagerarfärja; Pendelbåt; Elektrisk färja;

    Sammanfattning : In light of the emerging consequences of climate change, there is a need for a sustainable transition of the marine sector, including waterborne transport systems, towards implementation of fossil free fuels and technologies. The thesis limits its scope to solely include passenger ferries that are suitable for calm waters and often operates on shorter distances, which are often incorporated in a public transport system and/or archipelago traffic.
