  1. 16. Introducing Software Sustainability Demands into Large Organisational Procurement Processes

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Industriell teknik

    Författare :Albin Antti; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Transport sector; intrapreneurship; case study; sustainability; greenhouse gas emissions; thematic analysis; transportsektor; intraprenörskap; teknikbaserad affärsutveckling; fallstudie; hållbarhet; växthusgasutsläpp; tematisk analys;

    Sammanfattning : As the ICT sector saw exponential growth over the last few decades, so too did the greenhouse gas emissions caused by it, to the point where the ICT sector is at least as big, if not bigger, than the airline industry. Previous research in this field has circled around methodologies for performing life cycle assessment of ICT software products, but has not put it in an organisational context which has lead to no agreed upon way of calculating and comparing sustainable software. 3. 18. Sustainability and circularity metrics for EV batteries: Enabling circular economy strategy decision making and value communication

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Internationella miljöinstitutet

    Författare :Gunjan Kolhe; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Sustainability metrics; Circularity metrics; LIB CE strategies; Second life battery energy storage system; Product service system; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : The increasing focus on lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) in the context of electrification of transport sector has raised concerns about their high costs, resource and energy demands, environmental impact, and social supply chain risks. To address these challenges and maximize the value of LIBs throughout their lifecycle, circular economy (CE) strategies, such as reusing and repurposing, are being explored. LÄS MER

  4. 19. The Transition Towards Zero Emission: A qualitative study on how the use of a sustainability control system in a transportation company is affected by co-existing demands

    C-uppsats, Handelshögskolan i Stockholm/Institutionen för redovisning och finansiering

    Författare :Paula Peters; Siri Valentin; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Sustainability; Sustainability control; Sustainability control systems; Institutional logics; Situation-specific compromises;

    Sammanfattning : This paper explores how the use of sustainability control systems (SCS) is impacted by the presence of co-existing demands in an organization operating in the transport industry. As sustainability is becoming an integrated part of organizational strategy, this study argues that understanding the impact of co-existing demands on the use of SCS can enhance our understanding of its complexity and how to grasp its full potential.
