  1. 1. Greening the grid of Indonesia - Second life application for Lithium-Ion Electric Vehicle batteries in Indonesia’s Energy System

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Innovation

    Författare :Felix Kruse; Paula Runsten; [2023]
    Nyckelord :electrification; battery repurposing; renewable energy; net-zero emissions; energy storage systems; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : With the increasing energy demand from urban electrification, the growing economy and global warming, Indonesia has some extensive challenges ahead. Additionally, growing demand for Li-ion batteries is causing shortages of virgin battery minerals in parallel with the increasing demand for energy storage to accommodate electrification. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Hydrogen fuel in the domestic maritime transport sector of Fiji : A Feasibility Study

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Tilda Eklund; Anna Fredén; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Fiji; Fuel Cell; Maritime Hydrogen; Maritime Transport; Fiji; Bränslecell; Maritim Vätgas; Maritim Transport;

    Sammanfattning : The maritime transport sector accounts for around 2.9% of the world’s anthropogenic emissions, a percentage that is growing yearly. Alternative fuels have come to be considered the necessary solution of the future, not least in island nations such as Fiji that are socially and economically dependent on sustainable maritime transport. 3. 3. Introducing Software Sustainability Demands into Large Organisational Procurement Processes

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Industriell teknik

    Författare :Albin Antti; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Transport sector; intrapreneurship; case study; sustainability; greenhouse gas emissions; thematic analysis; transportsektor; intraprenörskap; teknikbaserad affärsutveckling; fallstudie; hållbarhet; växthusgasutsläpp; tematisk analys;

    Sammanfattning : As the ICT sector saw exponential growth over the last few decades, so too did the greenhouse gas emissions caused by it, to the point where the ICT sector is at least as big, if not bigger, than the airline industry. Previous research in this field has circled around methodologies for performing life cycle assessment of ICT software products, but has not put it in an organisational context which has lead to no agreed upon way of calculating and comparing sustainable software.
