Tidigare serier om superhjältar har fått kritik för att ha bidragit med att framställa misogyna ideologier om kvinnor, men på senare år har den stora filmoch serieproducenten Marvel, som skapar superhjälteserier, arbetat aktivt för att skapa ett mer inkluderat superhjälte-universum som innefattar en mer utvecklad syn på kvinnor.
