1. Nutrient Retention in Constructed Wetlands
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaperSammanfattning : Eutrophication, a surplus of nutrients, is a problem in aquatic environments and one of the Swedish Environmental Goals is that there should be no eutrophication caused by human activities. Constructed wetlands (CW:s) is a measure that could be implemented to decrease the transport of nutrients to water bodies through retention. LÄS MER
2. An investigation of the Mechanisms Behind the Pharmaceutical Removal in Ekeby Wetland WWTP
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för kemi, bioteknologi och hälsa (CBH)Sammanfattning : Pharmaceutical residues are being released into the aquatic environment through domestic wastewater effluents all around the world. Ekeby wetland located in Eskilstuna has been shown to degrade pharmaceutical residues in wastewater but the mechanism of how and where in the wetland these substances are removed were not known. 3. Evaluation of CoupModel in Predicting Groundwater Levels
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaperSammanfattning : The Geological Survey of Sweden (SGU) has initiated a project to calibrate models to simulategroundwater levels in monitoring wells of their Groundwater Network, based on a commission fromthe Swedish Government after experiencing historically low groundwater levels and shortage in 2016and 2017. A version of the HBV model with 4 parameters, focusing on calculating groundwaterrecharge and levels, was manually calibrated to 119 groundwater stations in 2017 and the modelresults were classified according to a ‘good’, ‘poor’ or ‘bad’ visual fit to observations. 4. Ämnestransport i Tomtaåns avrinningsområde : Inverkan av Hovgårdens avfallsanläggning och diffusa utsläpp
Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaperSammanfattning : The chemistry of a stream is the result of different transport routes of the precipitation and the processes it undergoes in the catchment area to the stream. The transport route can involve natural processes in the ground, called diffuse sources, or some more anthropogenic sources titled point sources. LÄS MER
