  1. 21. Optimering av slamuttag vid Görvälns vattenverk

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå, KTH/Skolan för kemi, bioteknologi och hälsa (CBH)

    Författare :Jim Hamring Ganding; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Slamuttag; kemisk fällning; kemisk flockning; ALG; vattenverksslam; teoretisk slamproduktion;

    Sammanfattning : Norrvatten producerar dricksvatten till cirka 600 000 av Stockholms invånare. Råvattnet är ytvatten som kommer från Mälaren. Innan vattnet är klart att distribueras som dricksvatten genomgår det en rad olika processteg varav ett är kemisk fällning följt av sandfiltrering. LÄS MER

  2. 22. I skuggan av sommarens torka finns känslorna : en studie om mjölkbönders upplevelser från sommarens torka 2018

    Magister-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Urban and Rural Development

    Författare :Kristin Halvarsson; [2020]
    Nyckelord :torkan 2018; mjölkproducenter; coping-strategier; sociala relationer; känslomässig upplevelse;

    Sammanfattning : Under sommaren 2018 utsattes Sverige för extremt väder i form av höga temperaturer och låga nederbördsmängder. Sämre tillväxt på beten och vallar, mindre spannmålsskördar och låga vattennivåer som orsakade foder- och vattenbrist blev direkta följer av den extremt varma och torra sommaren. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Multitask Convolutional Neural Network Emulators for Global Crop Models - Supervised Deep Learning in Large Hypercubes of Non-IID Data

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Matematisk statistik

    Författare :Amanda Nilsson; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Multitask Learning; Convolutional Neural Network CNN ; Branched Neural Network; Dynamic Global Vegetation Models DGVM ; Automated Feature Extraction; Feature Importance; Supervised Machine Learning; Emulator; Surrogate Model; Response Surface Model; Approximation Model; Metamodeling; Model Composition; Regularization; Robustness; Hyperparameter Optimization; Mathematics and Statistics;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to establish whether a neural network (NN) can be used for emulation of simulated global crop production - retrieved from the computationally demanding dynamic global vegetation model (DGVM) Lund-Potsdam-Jena General Ecosystem Simulator (LPJ-GUESS). It has been devoted to elaboration with various types of neural network architectures: Branched NNs capable of processing inputs of mixed data types; Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architectures able to perform automated temporal feature extraction of the given weather time series; simpler fully connected (FC) structures as well as Multitask NNs. 4. 24. Evaluation of water stress mapping methods in vineyards using airborne thermal imaging

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Alon Zuta; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Geography; Geographical information systems; GIS; Remote sensing; Cover crop; Thermal imaging; Spatial variability; vineyards; interpolation; water stress index; CWSI; Ig; stem water potential; UAV; Rheingau; Interpolation.; Agriculture and Food Sciences; Biology and Life Sciences; Technology and Engineering; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : With low cost and high efficiency, use of airborne infrared thermography imaging from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has become a widely used technique to measure plant water stress. With that, the use of UAV mounted thermal camera as a precision agriculture technique to map crop water stress is not trivial and its success is depended on variety of factors which are still needed to be studied and understood. 5. 25. Energy balance closure, water balance, carbon exchange, and water use efficiency : observed and modeled outcomes for a managed, hemiboreal forest in Southern Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Linsey Marie Avila; [2019]
    Nyckelord :Energy balance; energy balance closure; energy balance ratio; net radiation; sensible heat; latent heat; turbulent fluxes; ground heat flux; energy storage; available energy; Bowen ratio; evaporative fraction; latent heat of vaporization; water balance; evapotranspiration; precipitation; water storage; water discharge; gross primary production; ecosystem respiration; net ecosystem production; carbon exchange; water use efficiency; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : The claims for the potential of boreal and sub-boreal forests to combat negative effects of climate change have been substantial with over half of Earth’s primary forests found within boreal and temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere. Given the likely occurrence of more extreme climate events in the future, ascertaining a better understanding of how climate effects, such as profound fluctuations in precipitation, decreases in yearly snow, faster snow melt rates, variability in evapotranspiration due to environmental stress, and related changes in the energy, hydrological, and carbon cycles will change these northern, boreal landscapes is crucial.
