  1. 1. Predictive Modeling of Pipetting Dynamics. Multivariate Regression Analysis: PLS and ANN for Estimating Density and Volume from Pressure Recordings

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Biomedicinsk teknik

    Författare :Lisa Linard Pedersen; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Thermo Fisher Scientific manufacture automatic pipetting instruments for diagnostic tests. These tests are sensitive to abnormalities and changes in e.g. volume or density could potentially lead to less precision or other issues in the pipetting work flow. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Assessing water balance and yields in Malawian cropping systems : maize soybean and maize Gliricidia systems resilience against climate change

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Soil and Environment

    Författare :Danila Valeriano; [2024]
    Nyckelord :crop modelling; APSIM; Malawi; maize; soybean; Gliricidia; agroforestry; legume intercropping; climate predictions; climate adaptation; SDSM;

    Sammanfattning : In Malawi, maize monocultures are increasingly susceptible to extreme weather patterns, causing considerable yield reduction and heightened food insecurity for smallholder farmers dependent on rainfed subsistence agriculture. Diversifying cropping systems is crucial for ensuring yield resilience. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Techno-Economic Analysis of Dye Separation in Textile Recycling

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresurslära

    Författare :David Lundberg; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Dye; Membrane filtration; Electrocoagulation; Techno-economic analysis; Pre-feasibility study; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : This study determines the technical and economic feasibility of separating dye from a process filtrate in industrial textile recycling using electrocoagulation or sequences of membrane filtration with microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration and reverse osmosis. The lower requirements for treating this stream, compared to previously researched dyehouse effluents, left treatments not good enough for dyehouses viable for this process filtrate. LÄS MER

  4. 4. The potential to use rhizobacteria within agricultural innovations instead of chemical inputs : taking quality and quantity of the crop into consideration

    Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. Of Plant Biology

    Författare :Ida Quisth; Isabella Ulfsparre; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Biocontrol; Biofertilizer; Biopesticide; Biostimulant; Plant growth promoting rhizobacteria; PGPR; Quality; Rhizosphere Microbiome; Yield;

    Sammanfattning : Plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) are soil bacteria that occur naturally, colonize the roots of plants and can promote plant growth. PGPR isolated and used as inoculum to seed or plants is mostly marketed as a growth stimulant because it facilitates registration and reduces costs, even though PGPR may also serve as biocontrol products. 5. 5. TRADITIONAL ECOLOGICAL KNOWLEDGE IN AGRICULTURE FOR ADAPTATION/ RESILIENCE TO CLIMATE CHANGE: HIGH MOUNTAIN ASIA

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Dulani Lavanya Samarasekara Witharana; [2023-06-22]
    Nyckelord :climate change adaptation; resilient agroecosystems; Hindu Kush Himalaya; indigenous knowledge; traditional farming; traditional ecological knowledge;

    Sammanfattning : Mountain agricultural systems in the Hindu Kush Himalaya (HKH) are in a unique position to contribute to promoting nature-based solutions in adaptation and resilience to climate change since they are least impacted by the influence of commercial high-production agriculture. This study aims to explore currently available literature for evidence of Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) based agriculture in the HKH region and analyse their contribution to region and location specific climate change adaptation.
