    Sammanfattning : Att maximera antalet avvanda smågrisar per sugga har blivit ett viktigt mål inom dagens svenska grisproduktion, men fortsatt stora problem med hög smågrisdödlighet utgör en utmaning för producenterna och har negativa konsekvenser för djurvälfärden. Temperatur är en miljöfaktor som kan inverka på smågrisdödligheten och som visat sig kunna variera mellan boxar i samma stall, men få studier har undersökt omgivningstemperaturens effekt på suggornas prestation under svenska produktionsförhållanden.     Sammanfattning : Natural weaning of piglets occurs gradually and finalises between 14-17 weeks of age. In 2017, Swedish pig production faced changes in national regulations regarding weaning procedures. The new regulations implemented a decrease of weaning age from 28 days of age to 21 days of age for a maximum of 10 % of piglets in each batch. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Pigs’ (Sus scrofa) behaviors are affected by the environment they are housed in, where an enriched environment offers pigs to perform more diverse behaviors. Pigs reared in barren environments perform more oral manipulation toward their pen mates, compared to pigs reared in enriched environments. LÄS MER
