Brandteknisk Riskvärdering av Motala Folkets Hus

Sammanfattning: The purpose of this report is to evaluate the fire safety of Motala Folkets Hus. This report has been carried out as a part of the students´ education and does not concern protection of property or environment, but focuses on the safety of people during egress. Motala Folkets Hus is a commercial five-storey building, which consists of a library, theatre, cafeteria, restaurant, school and a variety of offices. The bases of this report are three fire scenarios, carefully evaluated and strategically placed inside the building. The scenarios are evaluated using fire modelling programmes, such as CFAST and Argos. This in order to get the time when tenable conditions occur in the rooms. The data produced where then compared with end evacuation times calculated using the software Simulex. The conclusions resulted in a proposal of measures to increase the safety for occupants in case of fire.
