Sammanfattning: Problem: Among the few studies within the field of organizational communication that deals with technology, it is unusual to reflect upon the complex relation between ICT and organization and still connect it with social practice. Purpose: To elucidate and problematize the constitution of ICT and organization, through the concepts of power relations and sense making processes. Methodology: To critically reflect over eleven interviews with technically skilled co-workers at the Swedish institute. Conclusions: Traditional ICT contributes to a positivistic view on communi- cation and has a negative influence on the co-workers sense- making. Sense-making is primarily created through creative stimulating ICT and inside “communities of practice”. The power permeates all practices, controls time and space, but is also a productive force.
