Sammanfattning: A significant part of a country's transport is construction transports. This report focuses on how to optimize transport for prefabricated wood-elements. As companies depend on the transport of buildings to get materials to the construction site, reducing the environmental impact is a challenge. There are some measures to optimize transport in the best possible way, and this study presents a model with factors to consider, to improve the environmental and economic efficiency of the transport. The model is derived from a literature study. The results of the study are based on an interview study with interested parties such as construction designers, logistics manager, site manager who were able to answer questions based on the model.  In the discussion, a revision of the model has been carried out and the final model has been presented. The final model was extended with additional details to adapt it more to a construction designer. The two factors “prerequisites on the construction site” and “handling” were not a priority after analyzing the interviews, while “mode of transport”, “maximizing transport”, “type of fuel”, and “return/coshipment” was more prioritized.
