Hanteringen av hela resan-perspektivet - En analys av strategihandlingars bidrag att påverka hållbart resande i Lunds kommun och Malmö stad
Sammanfattning: To travel sustainable means more than using sustainable transportation; it is important to ensure that the entire journey is sustainable for one to go from one destination to another. The purpose of the study is to investigate how the entire journey is addressed by municipalities' Master Plan and traffic and mobility documents. Specifically, the study analyzed the municipality of Lund and the City of Malmö. The results from the Master Plans for both the municipality of Lund and the City of Malmö showed that infrastructure for walking, cycling and public transport was addressed, but that the information was vague and generally expressed. Densification seemed to be an important consideration in relation to the infrastructure for each mode of transportation. In the interview studies, it was noted that planning proposals were often turned down if they interfered with car use. Therefore, the development strategies in the Master Plans, needs to be revised and adapted to more consider this. The whole journey perspective was partially expressed in all the municipalities’ strategy documents, but the details about it was very much relatively superficial and did not suggest anything practical. The municipalities had difficulties addressing the whole journey perspective in places where infrastructure was missing or deficient. Therefore, it may be necessary for more in-depth documents to present how the whole journey perspective should be handled properly, including specific infrastructure proposals.
