Sammanfattning: In this thesis, the author tries to explore how non-heterosexual men in Denmark use different methods to and strategies for the negotiation of openness in regards to their non-normative sexuality in the labour market. The basis of the thesis is an interview study conducted with five non-heterosexual men as the informants. From the standpoint of a non-heterosexual men in Denmark and the assumptions that to be that being non-heterosexual in the labour market, is not unproblematic, and that there still exist discrimination, despite progress and many advances. Since more and more non-heterosexual individuals are open now on the labour market, The question of what the deviation from the heterosexual norm means for the individual non-heterosexual person in the labour market, raises. The results of the research indicate that there is an expectation of openness, but openness is a complex process, which involved methods and strategies for the negotiation of their openness in relation to the heterosexual norm. Furthermore, it turns out that the expectations of openness implicit require, despite it being a planned phenomenon, that it must takes place in specific contexts and appears, despite their construction and coordination, as natural, spontaneous and honest.
