FMT-metoden - En studie om hur verksamma terapeuter talar om sin metod och sitt arbetssätt

Sammanfattning: Title: A study of how active therapist talks about the FMT method. FMT-therapists use music as a means of communication. The method is non verbal and uses musical codes to create a framework for the apprentice. The instruments that are being used are piano, drums, a variety of flutes and whistles. The FMT-method is a musical form of therapy that targets all functional disabilities. It is a neuromuscular method where psychological factors, mobility and brain activity are considered linked, where impulses are supplied to the brain trough muscles and nerves. This bachelor thesis is a qualitative inquiry, where six FMT-therapists were interviewed. The interviews were recorded and lasted aproximatly twenty five minutes. They where recorded via telephone and then transcribed. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how the therapists talk about their work with this method and to find out the main parts of their work. The results are a summary of how environment, working method, aspects of time and music may appear in their work. FMT-terapeuter använder musiken som kommunikationsmedel. Metoden är icke verbal och man använder sig av musikkoder för att skapa en förutsättning för adepten. Instrumenten som används är piano, trummor och effektinstrument. FMT-metoden är en musikterapiform som riktar sig till alla funktionshinder. Det är en neuromuskulär metod där psykologiska faktorer, motorisk aktivitet och hjärnaktivitet anses sammankopplade, där impulser tillförs hjärnan genom muskler och nerver. Det här examensarbetet är en kvalitativ undersökning där sex FMT-terapeuter intervjuades. Intervjuerna varade i cirka tjugofem minuter och spelades in. Intervjuerna spelades in via telefon som sedan transkriberades. Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att undersöka hur terapeuterna talar om sitt arbete med metoden, samt att ta reda på vilka som är de centrala delarna i deras arbete.
