Utrymning ur höga byggnader - En studie om utrymningslarmets effekt på människors initiala val av utrymningsväg

Detta är en Master-uppsats från Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Brandteknik

Sammanfattning: The aim of this study is to investigate whether people tend to escape by stairs or by emergency egress elevator when both are available in a high-rise building. It is also investigated whether the evacuation alarm has an impact on people’s exit choice. Another aim is to identify the risks associated with the different escape routes and which factors that influence the exit choice. It is also investigated how the emotional state differs depending on choice of exit route and evacuation alarm. In the study it was found that one of the most influencing factors is which way people enter the floor of the building. The study also shows the conclusion that people’s exit choice is not affected by the evacuation alarm. Almost two thirds of the participants in the survey made the initial choice to evacuate by elevator regardless of the type of evacuation alarm. A voice alarm that informs that the elevators can be used for evacuation did not increase the number of people that chose the elevator in the survey. However, the alarm made people more aware of the possibility to use the elevator.
