Den goda undervisningen. : En kvalitativ studie av sex gymnasielärares mål och utvärdering av sitt arbete.
Sammanfattning: The purpose of this thesis is to describe teachers view on overall purpose with high school and to examine how that affects their own work evaluation. By recording the sounds and taking notes of six interviews with teachers at their work place, data were collected. Teachers find their mission is to help students achieve knowledge requirements presented in the curriculum. But at the same time they have the intention to help pupils grow as individuals via personal development and they are aware of the objective to shape functional members of society. When the interviewed teachers evaluated their own work, they based it on stats whether or not the pupils had reached the knowledge requirements. They also based their work evaluation on feelings emerged from everyday relationship activities between the teacher and the student. This emotional dimension makes up a big part on teachers evaluation on whether they have done a good job or not. The emotional dimension cannot be understood as a clear objective among teachers and their view on overall purpose with high school. What makes it quite remarkable, is that many of the interviewed teachers, heavily based their evaluation of their work upon something they don’t even consider an objective.
