Sammanfattning: In recent years, the construction of apartment buildings in wood has increased significantly, and since wood is a hydroscopic building material, it is important to ensure that the material is not damaged during the construction phase. To minimize the risk of this, weather protection can be used to protect the construction during the parts of the construction period when moisture-related damage may occur. The purpose of the project is to produce a matrix for the selection of weather protection for use with Masonite Flexible Building Systems (MFB). This matrix will simplify the use of weather protection for contractors by compiling the types of weather protection that fit different constructions built with MFB. If possible, contractors should also receive a cost estimate of the different types of weather protection. The aim of the project is to show the pros and cons of the use of weather protection and to produce a checklist for decisions on weather protection. The project also aims to implement a descriptive example for comparison with different types of houses. The method used in the study has been to collect data by a literature review of studies made on the subject, as well as a market research on existing weather protection systems. To get an even deeper knowledge interviews with candidates from companies that are experienced in the use of weather protection have been done. The main result of the study has been the final matrix, which has also been one of the goals with the study. The study has also shown that pricing a weather protection is a complicated process because there are several different factors that need to be considered.  For the weather protection to suit several projects and buildings with different designs, it is possible to build weather protection in different segments. The choice of weather protection should be included early in the design phase to obtain calculation costs and be able to use the weather protection to its full potential. The use of weather protection entails a cost equal to 1-3 % of the cost of production, according to previous studies (SBUF 13499 and SBUF 11259), but it also entails a reduction in other costs and increased efficiency. Advantages of weather protection are usually soft factors such as, for example, increased efficiency. These are difficult to calculate, therefore knowledge of weather protection calculations should be developed, which will lead to a better understanding of the economic benefits of the use weather protection.
