Du och hen där borta : En text- och diskursanalys om modelläsare och ramar i sexualupplysningstexter

Sammanfattning: The aim of this master thesis (one year) is to examine the model reader and linguistic rooms in sex education texts. This, with the purpose of examining how the analysed texts use their language-related guidelines correlated to inclusion. The thesis uses text and discourse analysis with queer theory as a method. The material consists of six texts from three different Swedish websites that provide information about sexual health: 1177.se, UMO.se and RFSU.se.                      The analysis shows that the six texts with a focus on reproduction constructs the model reader as a person with the capabilities of becoming pregnant and their potential partner is put in a linguistic room further away. The texts about sex create a model reader with some kind of sexual problem and quite inexperienced in the matters of sex. The texts put the person with problems close to the sender and any potential partners who might want the information to help their partner is separated and put in a further room. The studied texts appear to be in line with the relevant guidelines but they also deviate, especially in terms of gender inclusion, which subsequently stand out as an area for further improvement.
