Sammanfattning: According to previous research there is no doubt that it is very important for us human beings to regularly train and be physical active. The physical activity has shown that it increases our physical well being but also our mental health. It is stated that physical activity is crucial in order to avoid different kinds of diseases such as heart disease and diabetes but also reduce the risk of suffer from anxiety and depression. Previous research has at the same time shown that we are becoming less and less physical active in our daily life. After reading about this topic an interest arose to research what companies can do to promote the health of their employees. This study aims to examine and compare two organizations that have introduced physical activity during working hours and how these activities affect employees both positively and negatively. This study is based on the theories; The salutogenesis perspective & Sense of coherence and Self- determination theory. The study is conducted on the basis of a qualitative research strategy with a comparative design. The study’s empirical data are collected through semi-structured interviews at Thule Group and FMLOG. The result and conclusions from this study is that physical activity during working hours in fact has a positive impact on employees and on the entire organization. Respondents in this research said that physical activity during working hours is something more organizations should introduce.
