Vägar till social hållbar utveckling : En studie om socialt företagande och mission i Kenya och Kongo Kinshasa på lokal nivå med globalt perspektiv

Sammanfattning: Abstract       In this paper I will study two different actors in Central Africa and how they affect social sustainability in Kenya and Congo Kinshasa. In Kenya, I'm studying a Kenyan-based forestry company that offers investors buying trees, thus combating desertification. Forest plantations also create work for forestry farmers. The company is called Better Globe Forestry, and besides forest planting, they also build schools that educate children. Better Globe has started a bank that provides micro loans to forestry. Kenya is an agricultural country and instead of the crops wiping away, farmers earn money to grow trees. Trees create a better balance on Earth as a whole. Trees bind water and create carbon dioxide that is very important for human survival on our soil. In the Better Globe study, I compare with Mohammed Yunu's work in India with micro-loans and how he works with micro-loans as an opportunity to reduce poverty. In Congo Kinshasa I study the Ecumenical Church's work on healthcare and schools in the country. They work with voluntary help in health care and build schools with a strong focus on girls being able to go to school for as long as the boys. In the study, I study how the Christian faith is prominent in the work for sustainable development in Congo Kinshasa. Earlier research into the interpretation of Holte's biblical texts is included in the study of the Ecumenical Church in order to understand their work according to the Christian faith. Both actors in Kenya and Congo Kinshasa and their work consider justice and with Amartya Sen I interpret my material based on the concept of justice.
