Sammanfattning: Communication is a well stated act in project management. Despite the knowledge of how to communicate in a project in the construction industry, does project teams not apply the theories into practise. Today billions are neglected only because of the communication problems in the Swedish construction industry. The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to investigate how a project manager could work with streamline communication in a construction project. The study has an intention to highlight the communication problems, issues with the communication channels and the lack of structure. The study is accomplished through a qualitative methodology and started off with a detailed literature investigation of existing research. Ten semi-structured interviews were completed with selected project members from the case study and several observations were conducted. The analysis with the discussion showcases three different improvement areas which create a possibility to a better streamlined communication in a construction project. The conclusion is that communication problems occurs because lack of structure. The wide range of IT-channels is expanding and in a combination with the easy availability, the channels are hard to control. Second conclusion is that communication problems occurs because lack of structure. A solution to work more efficient with communication is to create a structure of the communication channels and communication paths. Additionally, is it also to increase the comprehension between project members.
