Sammanfattning: Background: The Assyrians are a minority group from Iraq who were forced to emigrate to various countries in the world because of war and oppression. The first Assyrians came to Sweden in 1967. They had to abandon learned social norms, culture, and language as they tried to adapt to a new foreign country. Moving to another means adapting to the new culture by performing activities other than the usual. Activities are a means of integration in the new country which plays an important role in formulating an individual's identity (Lundgren, 2017).   Purpose: The overall purpose of this study is to describe the everyday activities of Assyrian, immigrant women in Sweden, and its value, using the ValMO model.   Method: The study has a qualitative study design. The authors have conducted nine semi-structured interviews. Based on Graneheim & Lundman's quality content analysis (2017), the results were analyzed through various steps in data processing. The interviews were transcribed, from oral to written form, by the authors who then created codes and meaning units from the interviews. An examination of the encoded material was done, and then the material is categorized. Selection of main categories and subcategories was made according to the ValMO model. The authors have used the ValMo model as a tool and thus dealt with the following main categories; socio-symbolic, self-rewarding and concrete value.   Results: The results showed that there are similarities in women's daily activities and that the activities are perceived as important for Assyrian women. It turned out that the daily activities that are done mainly consist of maintenance activities, work activities and play activities. The Assyrian women perceive their daily activities as meaningful and attribute them socio-symbolic value, concrete value and self-rewarding value. The result shows that there is an imbalance in daily activities because the Assyrian women do not engage in purely recreational activities. This result can encourage more professional occupational therapists to pay attention to these individuals in the community and work to increase the activity balance and support a more meaningful everyday life.
