Sammanfattning: SammanfattningDet här arbetet är en litteraturstudie. Arbetet tar upp litteratur om kommunikation i vården främst från humansidan, men även en del veterinärlitteratur. Arbetet tar upp grunden för kommunikation och olika kommunikationsmodeller. Vidare tas sjuksköterskans roll upp och hur den kan påverka relationen till patienten genom professionalism, empati, människosyn och medmänsklighet. Det handlar även om vad litteraturen säger om effekten av behandling som ett resultat av kommunikation samt hur man kan mäta effekten av behandling. Det görs även en redogörelse av begrepp så som compliance, adherence och concordance samt dess utveckling. Vidare avhandlas vad man som vårdgivare kan göra för att stödja patienten och öka effekten av behandling samt hur man inom vården får kommunikationen att fungera genom olika metoder så som Motiverande samtal och bemötande. Här avverkas också hur patient och vårdgivare ser på sin relation och situation. Det redogörs också för patientstödprogram samt olika sätt att ge information på. SummaryThis paper is a literature study. The paper discusses literature on communication in healthcare, mostly from the human healthcare but also veterinary literature. The basics of communication and different ways of communicating are investigated.Furthermore the nurse role and how it can affect the relationship with the patient thru professionalism, empathy and humanity is discussed. The efficiency of treatment as a result of communication, and how to measure it, are other aspects of this paper. There is also an explanation of concepts such as compliance, adherence and concordance, and their development.Onwards, how to support the patient as a caretaker to improve efficiency of treatment and how to make communication work, thru different methods such as motivational interviewing, are discussed. The paper also investigates how patients and caregivers look upon their relationship and their situation. Different ways of giving information and patient support groups are also discussed.
