Ett lugnare campus : En studie om zonindelning och högkänsliga studenters behov i en studiemiljö

Detta är en Kandidat-uppsats från Mälardalens universitet/Akademin för innovation, design och teknik

Sammanfattning: This study is a degree project in information design with a focus on spatial design. This study is about investigating how students with a highly sensitive personality experience the study environment on Mälardalen's university campus. The purpose is also to investigate how, with the help of shape, color and symbols, one can communicate to the user which function the zones have.  In today's modern society, there are a variety of workplaces and everyone has different opinions about how to work. An officetype that aims for everyone to be able to choose for themselves how they want to work is flex office. In connection with the rebuilding of the campus in Eskilstuna, Mälardalen University has created a campus with an activity-based study environment, which is a type of flex office. In a flex office, there are usually different zones that meet different types of needs in the workplace. In this work, we look at whether these zones are communicated in a good way and whether the study places meet the needs of a highly sensitive student. The activity-based study environment on MDU's campus is today difficult to understand and the zones are hard to find. Is an activity-based study environment the right environment for a highly sensitive student to study in? Think a-loud protocol, space analysis and workshop have been used as methods in the study to be able to give a deeper understanding of the problem and to create a design proposal based on the methods. The theories that have been used in the study are wayfinding and wayshowing, visual communication in the room and the meanings of study places and zoning.
