Från en “jag” till “vi” organisation : En kvalitativ intervjustudie om organisationskultur och ledarskap, utifrån ledare- och medarbetares perspektiv.
Sammanfattning: Organizational culture is itself a phenomenon, affecting several dimensions within an organisation, such as norms, values and expectations. Previous research has shown that leadership is linked to organizational culture, as leadership influence can change the effort of employees in the organization as well as their values and beliefs. The aim of the study is thus to explore and create an understanding of how leaders and employees in a company experience the relationship between organizational culture and leadership. To study the phenomena, it has been important to get both leaders and employees perspectives, as they together demonstrate the company's organizational culture and leadership. The study is qualitatively done and based on ten interviews, five of which are leaders and five are employees, based on a larger company in Småland. The empirical material was then analysed using four key concepts: organizational culture, leadership, transactional leadership and transformable leadership. The study's conclusions are that the organizational culture of this company is characterized by the components of trust, transparency, helpfulness and responsiveness. These components also appeared to be sought-after properties in the eyes of employees. Today, the management works at an individual level, they try to lift and motivate their employees. It was also shown that management worked with the organisational culture to create participation, so that employees would have more independent responsibility and to strengthen the community of the company by strengthening management by organising various activities at working hours and after working hours. As a result, the company's management was considered to relate to the transformative leadership style.
