Sammanfattning: This master thesis investigates how to build in a sensitive environment in two senses. Partly, in terms of the physical context; Bovallstrand, a small fishing village in the archipelago of Bohuslän, with strength building restrictions and a present cultural heritage. Further, the chosen site for the project. An unbuilt cape where the nature is growing freely in between rising hills. Where the cliffs are becoming bare, the closer they get to the ocean. But also, in sense of the social context, where the village is characterized by the seasonal tourism. The number of inhabitants double during the summer months, while the village is filled with uninhabited houses during the remaining months. The few restaurants are closed and testifies about absence of the tourists. How can we with the help of architecture contribute to a more lively atmosphere, and reduce the distance between the permanent and temporary inhabitants?
