Sammanfattning: The aim of this study was to examine the process off collaboration between two human service organizations in Helsingborg. Focus lies on Utredningscentrum and Kompetenscenter Norrehed which both are a part of Utvecklingsnämnden. To study this theme I chose to interview seven employees from various levels of both organizations. I have interviewed one head of unit and two employees from the operative core in each organization and a person working at a higher level. Nine themes were identified and analyzed that played a great part in the collaboration process: The organizational field of Utvecklingsnämnden, differences, structure of power, guidelines, boundaries, communication, trust, moving bodies and comparison with external suppliers. The analysis was based on different concepts of organizational analysis: some focusing on the surroundings of the organization and others focusing on the interaction between activities. The results show that there is a conflict between the two organizations that is based on the lack of guidelines on how the collaborative process should be structured. It also shows that to achieve better collaborative associations it is important that there are explicit powers to who has the mandate to decide in different levels of the process.
