Erfarenhetsåterföring i byggbranschen- En kvalitativ studie med utgångspunkt från prefabricerade moduler

Sammanfattning: To be able to cover future needs, in regards to urbanization and an increasing population, the construction industry must to a greater extent meet demands. One way to increase the production rate is by increasing the level of prefabrication and industrial building. If the industry had become better at learning from past mistakes, it would have given a greater opportunity to streamline processes, minimize waste and increase profitability. The purpose of the study was to map out challenges with bathroom modules and to investigate how knowledge- and experience feedback works today. The objective was to generate improvement suggestions regarding the work with experience feedback and use of bathroom modules in the construction industry. This was made by qualitative interviews with different actors from the industry who was chosen by bathroom modules as focus. The study was performed in close cooperation with one of the biggest entrepreneurs companies in Sweden. The challenges when using bathroom modules are damp, plus heights, interlayers, shape and location of shafts. The problems brought up could in many cases have been solved at an early stage by making a thorough and well thought plan. Knowledge and experience from previous projects needs to be taken into consideration in a more systematic way building production compared to when manufacturing the modules in factory. Experience feedback in the production is however obstructed by the fact that every project is unique. The continuous work with experience feedback in the construction industry assessed by the majority of the respondents as a three on a scale from one to five. One correspond to not working and five is corresponding to well functional experience feedback. The industry has begun working with experience feedback but has some ground to cover before working satisfying. Today a lot of implicit experience feedback on an individual level is taking place but the tools to document experience is lacking. A cultural change and transparency is required to improve the experience feedback in the industry. A concrete improvement suggestion that the study indicate is to set aside more time for experience feedback. Another suggestion is that after every closed project have a retrospective to gather and compile all involved actors’ experiences. A user-friendly knowledge bank with the purpose to gather good and bad learnings is requested by the industry to avoid repeating the same mistakes.
