Rosornas krig: Förändring inom socialdemokratisk idéutveckling 2000–2020

Detta är en Kandidat-uppsats från Lunds universitet/Statsvetenskapliga institutionen

Sammanfattning: The Swedish Social Democratic Party (SAP) has been defining Swedish politics during the past century. Against the backdrop of an ideological shift to the right in the 1990s, this study aims to investigate if the SAPs understanding of equality has changed over the past twenty years. The purpose is to show if there has been an alteration within the SAP. The study itself is a descriptive idea analysis where three ideal types of equality are constructed. Over two hundred articles from the magazine Tiden has been systematized with the help of an analysis scheme, specially constructed for this essay. The study does not show any consistent change in equality, within the SAP over the last twenty years, which makes it impossible to tell if the SAP has altered to the left or to the right. Rather, the study shows inconsistency in the SAPs conception of equality, leading to the conclusion that there rather is an ongoing war of roses than a shift to either left or right.
