Sammanfattning: Background: More and more people are choosing to die in their homes. Palliative care istherefore often moved from the care institutions to the patients’ home. For nurses, thisresults in challenges in the form of a changed work environment and opportunities tomaintain patient-safe care. Nurses therefore need increased competence in how palliativecare in patients' homes is best conducted. Aim: The aim was to describe nurses’ experiencesof palliative care in patients' homes. Method: A systematic literature study with descriptivesynthesis. The result is based on eleven articles in caring science. Results: The resultsshowed that nurses have a need for support and education in relation to palliative care inpatients' homes. Furthermore, it was considered relevant to have a good interaction withpatients and their relatives. Conclusion: In order to provide good care in patients' homes,interaction with patients and relatives is required. Furthermore, it is necessary that nursesare given further training and good support from colleagues. This bachhelors’ degree projectshows that research is needed that focuses on the difficulties that nurses experience whencare is carried out at home. This is to provide a basis for the health care organization toprovide nurses with the support they need.
