Friskyttar och Järnproduktion - finns det något samband?

Detta är en Kandidat-uppsats från Lunds universitet/Institutionen för arkeologi och antikens historia

Sammanfattning: The iron production in northern Scania is well documented and research has been done during a long time. The primary focus in these researches was to study the production process, the starting and the ending time of the production and the area of production. The ending time of the production is usually said to be with the Swedish conquest of Scania. The other part of this paper is about “friskyttar”, that also is quite well documented. Much of the literature is quite one-sided and is in big parts based on myths and traditions. The aim in this paper is to investigate why the “friskyttar” raised, where the individuals came from, where they operated and where they were stationed. This will later on be compared to the spread of the iron production. All this to investigate the hypotheses that the rise of “friskyttar” was an upraise that coincided with the Danish invasion. This upraise was against the economical changes that northern Scania suffered due to the loss of the iron production, which was a main income for many of the inhabitants.
