Filmproduktionsprocesser : En jämförande studie om att filma analogt kontra digitalt

Sammanfattning: The art of producing films have been around for more than a century and the technology just continues to evolve. But although much has happened in 100 years, there are also processes, theories and practices that look the same now as then. I write this thesis because I want to find the differences between the analogue and the digital way of production. This study is based on a qualitative approach because my ambition is to seek the views concerning film production processes. The advantages of analogue film is that it contains more information than the digital formats and that it has a more cinematic style. The drawbacks of analogue film is that it is clumsy to handle and has an imminent risk of injury by scratches or dirt. Those who choose to work on analogue film, do so mainly in order to create a certain feeling of the image. The advantages of digital film is that the technology is faster, smaller and more accessible, which opens up opportunities for amateurs to make films. The drawbacks of digital film is that digital formats may need to be constantly updated to retain useful. A big difference is that an analogue recording process may be more disciplined than a digital one because the of number of shots is limited. The final question one may ask is: Will we be able to shoot on analogue film in the future or will the digital technique finally conquer the analogue one and what consequences may that bring to the profession?
