Sammanfattning: This degree project in information design - spatial design, deals with an entrance communication ability in a home for the elderly. The purpose of the work is to transform the main entrance so that it communicates better with the visitor through its spaciousness and that the entire surface is used. The work is based on the main entrance at Södermalmshemmet in Örebro. The aim of the work is to re-design the entrance hall so that it can communicate with the visitors, and firstly for those who visit the site for the first time, so that they find the way and feel welcome. With the help of observations and questionnaires, it has been found that the entrance is perceived to be forgotten and pale and it communicates inadequately with the visitor. A re-design proposal has been developed with the support of theory and empirical evidence that color, light and wayshowing are good informative elements in a communicative entrance. The proposal is based on finding through color coding.
