Vårdnadshavares perspektiv på lek i förskolan : vad lek är och vad barn utvecklar och lär genom lek

Sammanfattning: The purpose of this study is to contribute knowledge of the legal guardians perspective of playing in preschool and the importance of play for childrens development and learning. What they believe play is? Is it just for fun or do they believe that their children develop and learn something through play and if they do, what do they develop and learn?   I did a qualitative study in the form of a survey to find out the legal guardians perspective.   The result shows that the legal guardians see play as a pleasurable occupation where the children interac with each other. Through playing they process the surrounding world and their experiences. By roleplays and also by playing with toys and other things they like to play with where they have opportunity to try different things and learn how things works. Through play they develop a lot of abilities and skills.
